About Kyle Foote

Picture
A business entrepreneur and community activist with extensive experience and
a great passion for his work, Warren Kyle Foote supports the Salt Lake City area
on many fronts, from agriculture to mental illness. Mr. Foote enjoys traveling
and has lived in several locales throughout the world, including Indiana, Texas,
Ohio, Florida, Germany, and Brazil. In particular, Mr. Foote's experience while
on a Mormon mission in Brazil gave him a strong interest in the country,
allowing him to become fluent in Brazilian Portuguese. He matriculated at Salt
Lake Community College, seeking to earn an Associate of Arts in International
Studies with an emphasis on Portuguese. He plans to graduate in May 2012.
Mr. Foote also completed an Associate of Applied Science in Aviation Maintenance
Technology from the Community College of the Air Force in 2004.

Kyle Foote displays a strong passion for food, especially the local food
movement. As a consequence, Mr. Foote helped develop the Sugar House Farmers
Market, a seasonal market held in Monument Plaza in the Sugar House neighborhood
of Salt Lake City that promotes farmers throughout Utah and promotes the slow
food movement as well as local food. In 2011, Mr. Foote assisted in the founding
of the Utah Farmers Market Association, an organization bringing together Utah
farmers and ranchers with community markets and food artisans to promote locally
grown food.

Furthermore, Kyle Foote shows compassion for the mentally ill in Salt Lake
City, especially those in the LGBT community. Having close friends with mental
illness, Mr. Foote runs a weekly community support group on behalf of the
National Alliance on Mental Illness, seeking to remove the stigma mental illness
carries in the community. In addition, Mr. Foote supports local LGBT
organizations such as Equality Utah and Utah Pride Center, and he volunteers at
the Our Store thrift shop, which donates a portion of its sales proceeds to the
People With AIDS Coalition of Utah.
